This guide includes instructions to create and authorize a Yammer app that would connect to your Yammer network.

Step 1: Register new

Register a New Yammer App

  1. Go to the Created Apps page: https://www.yammer.com/client_applications
  2. Click Register New App For more information see "Yammer App Registration"
  3. Fill out the following fields within the submission form:
    1. Application Name
    :
    1.  - CardioLogAnalytics
    2. Organization
    :
    1.  - The name of your organization
    .
    2. Support e-mail
    :
    1.  - An email address which users of your app can contact for support
    .
    2. Website
    :
    1.  - Your organization's website
    Example:
  4. Save changes to finish registering the app.
Step 2:

  1. Click on on the CardioLogAnalytics app to display its Basic Info.
  2. Fill out the "Redirect URI" with: "https://www.yammer.com"
  3. Copy your Client ID and Client secret from the Application Information page.

  4. Paste this URL into your browser, where [client_id] is the value obtained from step 2 above:
    https://www.yammer.com/dialog/oauth?client_id=[client_id]&redir...


  5. Copy the "code=" value from the URL created.

  6. Paste this URL into your browser, where [client_id], [client secret] are obtained in step 3 above. Code is the code from step 5.

  7. Download and edit resulting JSON file. Copy the "token:" value.

Configure CardioLog Analytics

    Browse to CardioLog Analytics > Administration > System Configuration > Social Adaptor
  1. Click Add > Select Yammer

  2. In the configuration screen, change status to Active and fill out the following fields within the submission form:
    Network: Your organization domain name. For example, In the navigation pane under Administration, click System Configuration. Select Social Adapter from the main window.

  3. In the top right corner, click Add and select Yammer.
  4. Fill in the following details in the configuration settings dialog:
    1. Status - Active
    2. Network - Your organization domain name. e.g.Intlock.com
    3. Client ID

    2. Client Secret

    1. - The Client Secret you have copied in item #3 of

    that will be used to connect to

  5. Yammer Sitrion data will be retrieved as part of the Social Updates service job, which is located in in CardioLog > Administration > CardioLog Scheduling Service. In order  
  6. If you would like to execute the job immediately, schedule it to run Once and click OK.
