Windows Server 2012, Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows Server 2016, Windows 2019, Windows 2022:
- Install Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8 (you can download the installer from here).
- In Server Manager, select Dashboard, and click Add roles and features.
- In the Add Roles and Features Wizard, on the Before you begin page, click Next.
- On the Select installation type page, select Role-based or feature-based installation, and click Next.
- On the Select destination server page, select Select a server from the server pool, select your server, and click Next.
- On the Select server roles page, select Web Server (IIS).
- Under the Web Server (IIS) role, expand the Web Server node and then select Common HTTP Features.
- On the Web Server node, expand the Common HTTP Features node, and then select the Default Document and Static Content.
- On the Web Server node, expand the Application Development node, and then select ASP.NET 3.5, ASP.NET 4.58, .NET Extensibility 3.5, .NET Extensibility 4.58, ISAPI Extensions and ISAPI Filters.
- On the Web Server node, expand the Security node, and then select Windows Authentication and Request Filtering.
- On the Web Server node, expand the Management Tools node and then select the IIS Management Console, IIS 6 Management Compatibility and IIS Management Scripts and Tools.
- On the Web Server node, expand the Management Tools node, then expand the IIS 6 Management Compatibility node and select the IIS Metabase Compatibility, IIS 6 Scripting Tools and IIS 6 WMI Compatibility.
- Click Next.
- On the Select Features page, select all of the components of .NET Framework 3.5 Features
- On the Select Features page, select .NET Framework 4.5 8 Features
- On the .NET Framework 4.5 8 Features node, select .NET Framework 4.58, ASP .NET 4.5 8 and WCF Services.
- On the .NET Framework 4.5 8 Features node, expand the WCF Services node and select HTTP Activation.
- Click Next.
- On the Confirmation page, confirm your selections, and then click Install to start the installation process.
- Click Close to close the Add Roles and Features Wizard.
Windows Server 2008 R2
- Install Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8 (you can download the installer from here).
Windows Server 2008 R2
- In Server Manager, under the Roles node, select the Web Server (IIS) role.
- In the Role Services section, click Add Role Services. The Add Role Services wizard appears.
- Under the Web Server role service, select Common HTTP Features.
- Under the Web Server role service, expand the Common HTTP Features node, and then select the Default Document and Static Content.
- Under the Web Server role service, expand the Application Development node, and then select ASP.NET, .NET Extensibility, ISAPI Extensions and ISAPI Filters.
- Under the Web Server role service, expand the Security node, and then select Windows Authentication and Request Filtering.
- Under the Web Server role service, expand the Management Tools node and then select the IIS Management Console, IIS 6 Management Compatibility and IIS Management Scripts and Tools.
- Under the Web Server role service, expand the Management Tools node, then expand the IIS 6 Management Compatibility node and select the IIS Metabase Compatibility, IIS 6 Scripting Tools and IIS 6 WMI Compatibility.
- Click Next and verify the role service changes to be applied.
- Click Install to start the installation process.
- Click Close to close the Add Role Services wizard.
- In Server Manager, under the Features section, click Add Features. The Add Features wizard appears.
- Select the .NET Framework 3.5.1 Features. Click Next and verify the feature changes to be applied.
- Click Install to start the installation process.
- Close to close the Add Features wizard.
