Use the Videos - Engagement report to understand how users interact with videos in your portal. It contains a series of visuals to help you optimize your media content and increase productivity such as video interactions (clicks on play, pause, skip etc.), average % viewed out of overall video length, active vs. inactive videos rate and money lost on producing inactive videos

Videos | Engagement Overview

Video Interactions

This bar graph displays the top videos in your portal ranked by the number of video interactions:

Play - The number of clicks on the play button
AutoPlay - The number of times the video began playing automatically
Pause - The number of clicks on the pause button
Skip - The number of times the video has been seeked

Active vs. Inactive Videos

This visual indicates the ratio of active videos that have been viewed at least once to those who haven't, during the selected date range.

Video Plays vs. Completely Viewed Videos

This visual reflects how many times videos have been played vs. how many times videos have been watched until the end (during a single session) in the selected date range.

Active Videos Rate

This meter displays the percentage of videos that have been viewed at least once, during the selected date range.

Money Lost on Creating Unused Videos

The number of unused videos multiplied by the video content production cost per minute (configurable) and by the average video length in minutes. Unused videos are videos stored in SharePoint Assets libraries, that were not viewed at all in the selected date range.

Video Content Production Cost per Minute ($)

Average rate for producing 1 minute of digital media assets. The default value is 1200$.

Average Video Duration Viewed

This line chart displays the average % viewed out of overall video length over the selected date range.

% Viewed - The average percent of the video length viewed (100% indicates that the video has been watched until the end) during a single session.
Video Duration - The length of the video in seconds.
